Jin Shin Jyutsu, an ancient method for instant relief from anxiety, depression, grief, or nervous tension

Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient method rediscovered in the early twentieth century. It has proved invaluable for anyone who feels sad, anxious, nervous, or depressed.

We all know that acupuncture is often used to ease trauma, pain, illness, or stress. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a traditional Japanese healing art. It has been used most often to address anxiety, sciatica, chronic back and neck pain, depression, and related conditions.

A remarkably simple style of acupressure that works with 26 points located along the body's primary energy pathways.

A practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu uses both hands, gently resting them on key points where energy often stagnates. Although the technique seems very gentle, its effects are consistently strong. Through the placement of the hands, stuck energy is released, which helps restore physical, mental, and spiritual balance.

Anyone can practice this method. In fact, many people use it every day without realizing it.

Even the unintentional act of placing our hands on the body is beneficial. When we use specific hand positions with clear intention, its effectiveness increases significantly.

Jiro Murai rediscovered the method through his own experience. While meditating at his mountain home on the brink of death, he practiced a combination of mudras and other hand positions. After seven days of meditation, he recovered from a terminal illness. Following this rebirth, he devoted his life to researching and developing the technique. In the mid twentieth century he chose a young interpreter, Mary Burmeister, as his student, and she later brought this knowledge to the United States.

With this technique it is possible to relieve tension that gives rise to a range of symptoms that later appear in and on the body. We are energetic beings. In addition to the blood vessels that carry blood to nourish and supply the body, there are energy pathways through which life force circulates and nourishes our energetic and, in turn, our physical body. If any of these energy flows becomes blocked and energy stagnates, this can lead to discomfort and may eventually progress to illness. A blockage will not only affect the local area. It will influence surrounding regions and, in time, can disturb an entire energy pathway or even several of them.

Jin Shin Jyutsu restores balance in our energetic body, and therefore in the physical body, which supports health and strengthens our natural capacity to heal.

This technique works alongside conventional medical treatments. It also encourages relaxation and reduces the effects of stress.
