Sesame Oil

Sesame Oil

Sesame oil is a valuable source of vitamin E, B complex vitamins, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. It also contains protein and lecithin. Despite its rich and dense texture, it is widely used to help treat eczema, psoriasis, and dry skin, thanks to its excellent moisturizing properties.

Sesame oil has strong moisturizing, soothing, and softening qualities. For this reason it works beautifully when blended into a moisturizer.

Sesame seed oil holds a prominent place in Ayurvedic medicine, having been used as a healing oil for thousands of years and mentioned in the Vedas.

It shows natural antibacterial activity against common skin pathogens such as Staphylococcus and Streptococcus, as well as skin fungi. It is also valued for its natural antiviral and inflammation reducing properties.

After excessive exposure to wind or sun, this oil helps the skin calm and recover.

Sesame oil absorbs quickly into the skin and penetrates into the tissues. It may also be used to care for minor injuries such as scrapes and small cuts.

In addition, it helps firm and strengthen facial skin and is also used to minimize enlarged pores.
