Sexuality vs. Spirituality

Sexuality vs. Spirituality

Modern science has demonstrated that when the human body experiences orgasm, the intensity of theta and delta brain waves increases. These brain waves allow us to tap into a broader field of awareness, Universal Consciousness, and a living connection with our Divine Consciousness.

How often have you heard someone describe sex or sexuality as a "lower" urge that must be overcome in order to reach self realization?

How often do you find yourself viewing the centers below your waist as "lower" chakras and considering them less worthy than the energy centers above?

Many spiritual teachings hold that sexuality distracts us from our "true purpose" and therefore encourage students to suppress it, to ignore it, or even to feel guilty when this natural human desire for physical union arises.

This subconsciously creates a conflict between sexuality and our spiritual growth. We end up in constant struggle with our bodies, our desires, and, in essence, our very humanity.

But what if our sexual nature is the very means that leads us to spiritual realization, the doorway through which we experience true enlightenment?

At its core, human sexual longing is the bodily expression of the heart’s yearning to return to its primordial state of oneness. In essence, it is the union of two halves into a single whole, a way to realize unity, deep connection, and the dissolving of the self into another.

In its highest and purest expression, human sexual pleasure becomes a means of entering expanded states of consciousness.

How does this resonate with you?

Tibetan Tantra describes it in this way: at the moment of orgasm, the energies, prana, that move in the sexual organs touch or make contact with the central channel, sushumna nadi, the core of life force in the body, and we receive a brief glimpse or taste of enlightenment.

Modern science has demonstrated that when the human body experiences orgasm, the intensity of theta and delta brain waves increases. These very brain waves allow us to tap into a broader field of awareness, Universal Consciousness, and a living connection with our Divine Consciousness.

Imagine if you could experience more than a fleeting glimpse of enlightenment.

What if we could cultivate that peak of orgasm, that point of pleasure, and ride that current of bliss for minutes or even hours?

What would it do to our bodies, our brains, and our entire sense of self?

If this is the innate potential of human sexuality, where does all the negativity come from?

The answer is quite simple. For the most part, it has come from men. Why? Because when men ejaculate they LITERALLY LOSE life force. Regular sexual activity can therefore be very depleting for them unless they learn how to retain semen and how to reach climax without ejaculation.

In fact, men who practice semen retention while remaining sexually active increase brain activity, mental clarity, and their ability to focus.

Moreover, their health and stamina improve, the immune system strengthens, and overall vitality and life force increase.

From the perspective of those who grasp the true meaning of human sexuality, there is no separation between sexuality and spirituality. We understand that every orgasm offers a brief glimpse of enlightenment. When we enter lovemaking, we do so with the awareness that it is also part of our spiritual growth, and that it is the fuel that enables us to travel the road to ultimate liberation.
